The client required a centralized digital platform to manage patient intake, specimen collection and tracking, laboratory workflows, diagnostic results, provider communication, and telehealth consultations.
The platform was designed to connect diagnostic laboratories, phlebotomists, healthcare providers, and patients through a single, secure healthcare ecosystem. It also supports automated results delivery, real-time collaboration, referral management, and operational analytics to reduce administrative workload and improve care continuity.

Fragmented, manual diagnostic workflows were causing delays, errors, inefficient specimen tracking, and high administrative workloads across laboratories and healthcare providers.

Transforming outdated, paper-based laboratory workflows into a unified digital ecosystem presented significant business and technical challenges for the company. To overcome fragmented communication, manual billing, and uncoordinated logistics, the team engineered a comprehensive, end-to-end specimen tracking platform. This complex technical overhaul required building automated and secure cloud-based reporting, real-time barcode tracking, and live WebSocket messaging, alongside robust third-party API integrations, high-volume data auditing, and a fraud-resistant referral system.

1. Overview

We developed a comprehensive SaaS healthcare platform that digitizes and automates the complete diagnostic lifecycle—from digital patient intake and barcode specimen tracking to courier hand-offs, lab processing, automated CPT billing code assignments, and multichannel result delivery. By connecting clinical, logistical, and administrative workflows into a single system, the platform eliminates manual paperwork bottlenecks, improves specimen traceability, enhances real-time communication between laboratory teams and providers, and ensures accurate, end-to-end operational management

How It Works - 4 Steps

Step 1 Digital Intake & Specimen Collection:

Phlebotomists scan specimen barcodes and register patient intake digitally with real-time CPT code mapping and insurance eligibility verification.

Step 2 Logistics & Lab Intake Processing:

Couriers track specimen pick-ups via live status updates, delivering samples straight to testing labs for analyte evaluation.

Step 3 Automated Multichannel Result Release:

Once verified by a provider, the platform generates
password-encrypted PDF test reports and dispatches SMS/Email notifications immediately.

Step 4 Provider Care Continuity :

The platform bridges the communication gap between healthcare providers and patients, offering a secure environment for them to review lab results, discuss diagnoses, and plan the next steps in treatment

01 FEATURE - Master System Dashboard And Analytics

The central administrative dashboard provides laboratory owners, medical directors, and system administrators with real-time operational metrics across incoming patient volumes, active lab orders, results delivery rates, and staff activity.

02 FEATURE Diagnostics Lis & Specimen Life Cycle

The diagnostic LIS module manages specimen workflows from initial phlebotomy collection to courier transport, lab intake, CPT code billing assignment, and analyte verification.

Automated CPT Code Mapping:

Connects test panel definitions (RPP, STI, UTI, Nail Fungal) etc directly to standard billing CPT codes.

Problem Sample Isolation:

Quarantines damaged tubes or unlabelled specimens into dedicated resolution queues without stopping main batch processing.
